KUALA LUMPUR: From September 29 to November 5, Sunway Lagoon's 'Night of Fright 9' attracted university students with horror-themed attractions, offering both thrill and memorable experiences.


The event uniquely blended folklore and real stories, featuring well-crafted haunted houses, each with distinct themes that captivated and terrified attendees.


Highlights included "Murder at Madame Zhu's" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," which stood out for their realistic props and convincingly eerie actors.

Sunway Lagoon caters to a broad audience, with the event included milder activities, ensuring fun for everyone, regardless of their scare tolerance.


University students described the event as a mix of fear and excitement. Tang Jianing from the University of Malaya commented on the exhilarating escape it provided from studies.


Mr. Calvin Ho, Sunway Theme Parks' executive director, emphasized safety as organizers enacted measures to ensure a secure yet thrilling experience for all attendees.


Local businesses near Sunway Lagoon benefited from the event, experiencing a customer surge, demonstrating the event's positive economic impact.


As the event wrapped up, students left with lasting memories. 'Night of Fright 9' at Sunway Lagoon was a significant cultural and entertainment highlight.
